Ulu’ohe Bamboo Stand

Awarded First Place Furniture in the 2002 Hawaii’s Woodshow, this elegant entryway stand showcases a bamboo motif, inspired by a 1930’s Japanese textile print. It is crafted using Koa, Nigerian Satinwood and Mango wood, along with a Marble top inset. From marquetry, curved side panels to fully housed dovetails, Tom incorporated as many masterful woodworking techniques as he could without compromising the serenity of the art piece.
